You don't have to make yourself make sense before we begin.

You can come with the thing you can't quite name. The question you keep circling. The grief that doesn't move in a straight line. The parts of yourself that contradict one another. The sense that something is changing, even if you don't know what yet.

You don't need to arrive with the right words.

We can start with what is here.

The person sitting across from you

I'm Liz.

I'm curious about whatever you bring into the room; the words, the silence, what you know, and what you don't. I'll ask questions. I'll probably ask what you're noticing in your body. I'll laugh and swear at times. I'll tell you when I don't know.

I take this work seriously. I don't think that means we always have to be serious while we're doing it.

I don't believe therapy is about making you more palatable, productive, certain, or easy to understand.

I'm interested in the messier stuff: bodies and relationships, grief and desire, gender and sexuality, anger and pleasure, contradiction and change. The things we inherit. The things we choose. The things we're still figuring out.

People find their way here for all kinds of reasons. Grief that isn't moving according to anyone else's timeline. Questions about gender, sexuality, or relationships. A changing relationship to sex or desire. Anger, loneliness, exhaustion. Sometimes death is on your mind.

You might be looking at a relationship and wondering what it would mean to stay, to leave, or to do it differently. Or noticing how much of your life has been shaped around who you've needed to be for other people.

Or you might simply want more.

More pleasure. More connection. More ease. More room. More of a life that feels like yours.

So, what brings you here?

Take your shoes off if you want.
Sit on the couch.
Bring your coffee.
Cry. Swear. Laugh. Change your mind.

We'll figure out the rest from there.

Come as you are.
